The MARS-H lower receiver integrates the innovative design of the MARS-L into the MWS platform, featuring the LMT modular ambidextrous Rifle System (MARS ). This system provides ambidextrous controls, including the selector, magazine release and bolt catch and release. The receiver incorporates an enhanced flared magazine well and ambidextrous magazine and bolt catch mechanisms, which are machined directly into the unit to optimize ergonomic functionality. The design includes several distinctive LMT features to enhance durability and versatility, such as a two-stage trigger group, winter trigger guard, ergonomic grip, QD endplate and SOPMOD buttstock. It is important to note that LMT Defender-H and MARS-H lower receivers are only guaranteed to be compatible with LMT upper receivers, compatibility with other brands is not assured and may result in improper fit or function.
